Excellent job of taking the reader on his Spiritual awakening. Amazing how from a young age he was so fearless. Go anywhere, go anyplace, anytime....
unjab, married life in Denmark and twenty years in Southern India practicing Raja Yoga and much more besides. His learning is transferable, practicable and universal. Vivid, deeply personal and refreshingly honest, ‘’Finding what was never Lost…and then just giving it away’’ offers a fascinating combination of memoir, spirituality and self-help, as well as a snapshot of the hedonistic lifestyle of the 70’s and 80’s, with some travel and, unsurprisingly, a whole lot of laughter too. This is not vanity printing . . . there are some profound lessons to be learnt from reading and, in a sense, living another's life story. In this life, Martin has traversed continents and cultural eras more extensively than some and come to see/experience so much that is outside of one's everyday events, that it is no wonder that this book is highly recommended. Does he want you to copy it all? No. He is simply hoping that through the telling, those that are ready will take a little extra courage in hand and go forth, to reach out and change their lives. His main precept is that one's quality of life greatly overrules the values that are embedded in current culture - namely money, importance, sensual pleasures and distractions. Peace and joy within are attainable and far, far, far more valuable.
